The List by i-Ella

The List by i-Ella

ad.300x250

If you’ve been a reader on The Rosy Snail for any amount of time, you probably know there are two things I really fancy. 1. Subscription Boxes and 2. Getting a really great deal! These things go hand in hand for my love of beauty, fashion, accessories and just overall designer, girlie goodness! So, when Ella of i-Ella contacted me to try out her new Monthly Bag she dubbed, The List, I was thrilled!

The List comes in three “sizes” (or pricing options). There is the Starter Bag prices at $59, the Soho Bag priced at $129 and the St. Barth’s Bag priced at $389 per month. These bags are full of the latest and greatest in fashion and trends. On i-Ella, they describe The List as “that super cool bff with amazing designer connections and our fingers (perfectly manicured of course) on the pulse of all that’s happening in the world of fashion. From emerging trends to emerging designers, we’ll have you covered. Expect great deals, great inspiration and a fantastic experience. Sit back and relax while we put together the perfect gift bag just for you. There’s really nothing like it!”

For most people, fashion is not just clothing. So, with The List you can expect shoes, clothing, accessories, beauty products, jewelry and more. Essentially, anything to help you look and feel like your inner fashionista! To get started I headed over to I-ella.com and filled out my profile for my bag. I opted for the middle size bag, the Soho. The profile covered everything you might think and more! I felt like the questions were in depth and perfect. I got to tell them everything from colors I like to which size of handbag I like to carry. There is also a place to mention restriction (such as colors you strongly dislike or items you would NEVER wear, etc) and while it asks things like if you have pierced ears or not, you can still select “No, Thank you.” if you’re just not an earring girl! You can check out the full profile HERE to get a better idea!

After you fill out the profile, you’ll submit then you can pay your balance via Paypal (if you don’t have a Paypal account, you can use your debit or credit card to pay through Paypal.

Then you wait :) It took about 4 business days for my bag to arrive which is pretty fast in my book!

GE DIGITAL CAMERAIn each bag, you will receive 3-5 items, 1-2 of them being the featured Designer pieces. (The rest they consider your “free” items) My featured item was a fair of Smoking Slippers by Charles Philip. While I’ve seen Charles Philip shoes in retailers like Neiman Marcus, I’ve never owned a pair because frankly, they are expensive!

GE DIGITAL CAMERAI received the Leopard Haircalf Loafers. Charles Philip has a fairly large selection of these “smoking slippers” that ranges from prints like these, to pastels and even anchor printed ones. (That I’m SO in need of!) For a subscription bag that cost of $129, these shoes are an absolute STEAL with a retail value of $175!

GE DIGITAL CAMERAThese shoes just deserved another picture :) These run a little bit narrow (on me) so I contacted Ella about possibly returning them. With The List, returns are allowed when there is a sizing issue, but if you ever get something you don’t love in your bag, you can trade your items on the i-Ella online community! I haven’t delved too much into it, but it looks like an awesome site.

GE DIGITAL CAMERAMy other products came in a cute gift bag with The List logo on it. This reminded me of a goodie bag you might get at a store opening or a special event but the best part if I didn’t have to attend to score this bag of goodies ;) It just showed up at my door step!

GE DIGITAL CAMERAInside, I received 4 full sized goodies!

GE DIGITAL CAMERAThe first thing I pulled out was a bar of soap by a company called “Hand in Hand”. They created Fair Trade Certifies, natural, cruelty free and sustainable soap. They also donate a bar of soap to help a child in need with every purchase. On top of all that, this soap smells amazing! I don’t have anything in an Orange Blossom scent, but I’m loving it. This soap has a retail value of $9. I think I’ll gift this to someone who would really love this, but I’d gladly pay $9 for another bar!

GE DIGITAL CAMERANext, I received this Carpe Diem Day Lotion by Elena Rubin Skincare. This is a brand I’m familiar with as being on the high end and really nice. I love the name of this and with and SPF of 28 It’s something I could really use in my life. I don’t currently use any SPF in my routine, but I should! This lotion has a VERY light smell and absorbs into the skin almost immediately and doesn’t leave the slightest bit of a greasy feel. This lotion has a retail value of $49.

GE DIGITAL CAMERAI also received what is in my opinion one of the BEST hair oils on the market! This is the Pureology Hair Oil. This hair oil makes your hair super silky, smooth and never greasy. This 1oz bottle retails for $20 but is totally worth it. I was really happy to see this in my bag.

GE DIGITAL CAMERAThe last thing I got was this candle from Seawicks of Maine. While I wasn’t expecting a candle in my bag, this candle is FABULOUS!! It smells like the beach (it is called Beach Girl after all) and it’s got a beautiful label and I can’t wait to put this is my bathroom where it perfectly matches the decor and theme! It’s hard to say, but I think this might be my favorite item aside from the shoes!

With The List, you should expect to save at least 50% on all your products so for the Soho bag, you should receive $258 in products BUT I received $268 in products!! The value is outstanding and I loved EVERYTHING I received. The only thing I would have LOVED to see would have been a lipstick or color cosmetic item, but I’m just a junkie when it comes to those things :P

Overall, I thought this subscription was an amazing deal, super fun and perfect for anyone who loves the girlie things in life but isn’t sure where to turn for what is really trending!

I’ve seen a real upgrade in subscription boxes lately. Boxes are pumping out full size items, the ability to pick your own items and even “full look” boxes that contain makeup for your whole face, but what if I told you there was a box that does ALL of that?

Well, Wantable does- and a whole lot more.

http://i1083.photobucket.com/albums/j388/TheRosySnail/DSCN58782.jpg

Wantable is a quarterly service- meaning their selection changes with the seasons. I got the change to try out a winter box. Wantable began with only makeup boxes but they just released their jewelry subscription as well! You can choose to either subscribe to Wantable and get a box automatically every 3 months for $36 OR you can pay a little more, $40, and just try a box as a one time deal. Every box contains 5-6 full size items and, as I learned, usually another little extra. Each Wantable Makeup collection is hand selected by Beauty Expert Teresa “T” Sammarco. Each collection has a retail value of $80-$100. When you decide to “get started” you answer a series of questions to let them know what you REALLY like and dislike! If you don’t select that you want a highlight- you’re guaranteed not to get one! Their quiz goes into more detail than any other subscription that I’ve tried. I selected that I wanted nail polish and I said I liked Creme, glitter and shimmer. It asks you not only what colors you’re into but also what finishes or varieties you’re into. There was even an option to say you liked BRIGHT lip colors! That’s my kind of box!

If Wantable’s true want to get to know your style isn’t enough to lure you in, when I got my box there was a curious mailing label inside, right on top with my packing slip. Why? Because if you aren’t happy with any item in your box- return it. They want you to love your products and if you’re not happy, shipping is free both ways. I have to be honest in my review and say, I didn’t love my lipgloss I originally got. It’s beautiful, but I’m just not a fan of glittery lips. It’s just not my thing, so I emailed them and I had a replacement in about 3 days! It was that easy!

http://i1083.photobucket.com/albums/j388/TheRosySnail/DSCN6318-1.jpg

This color is a lot more my style and I am addicted to the way this gloss feels on my lips! This is from MyFace Cosmetics and it’s their Lip Pop Gloss in “Hot Stuff”. In all honesty, this is the least sticky lip gloss I have ever applied, but not in that watery, drippy way. It applies color to my lips and stays put but without even a hint of tacky texture. This full size gloss retails for $18- remember a subscription of Wantable is only $36- so far, that’s half!

http://i1083.photobucket.com/albums/j388/TheRosySnail/DSCN5881.jpg

Next I pulled out a MiA BelleZZa eyeliner pot. I LOVE cream eyeliners so I was thrilled to see this in my box. I received this in the color “Verde”. Now, looking at it, you can’t tell much. It almost looks like a dusty black color and I was surprised that it was called a green shade at all. That was until I swatched it.

http://i1083.photobucket.com/albums/j388/TheRosySnail/DSCN5883.jpg

As cliche as it sounds, pictures do not do this color justice. It is a fabulous dark green with gold and green shimmer in it. On top of the brilliant color, it’s super creamy and stays put! I swatched this on my arm and it was there even at the end of the day. I had to bust out makeup remover to get it off. This eyeliner retails for $16.50

http://i1083.photobucket.com/albums/j388/TheRosySnail/DSCN5885.jpg

Next was my eyeshadow. I know what you’re thinking, yes it broke. BUT I got this along with my new lipgloss, replaced just a few days later! I admit, my new one was stolen by a friend so I pressed this one back together and am seriously enjoying it. This shadow is also my MyFace Cosmetics and the gold glitter in it is out of this world! It looks amazing with my blue eyes and I never see any fall out. Which is just shocking for the amount of BLING in this Blingtone shadow. This shadow retails for $20 and even without the awesome deal I got through Wantable purchasing it in this box, I’d purchase it again in a heartbeat!

http://i1083.photobucket.com/albums/j388/TheRosySnail/DSCN5887.jpg

This might be my favorite item in my box, but it’s SO hard to choose just one. This blush is also by MiA BelleZZa. I tend to have a bit of a “safe zone” with blushes that is very peachy and a touch of coral. Probably because I’m so fair skinned. This blush (in “Captive”) has the same peach/coral tone but with a pinch more red than the rest of my collection. This made it a welcome addition and a new Winter favorite for me. It was fun to step out of my comfort zone just a TINY bit! Also, the coral shimmer in the blush is a wonderful pop! Retail on this blush is $16.50

http://i1083.photobucket.com/albums/j388/TheRosySnail/DSCN5891.jpg

& of course, all nail polish lovers dream- Color Club. I practically salivated when I saw the gold nail art lacquer. How insanely perfect for the Holidays in this?! I’ve been using color club for a long time and while they are certainly on the affordable end, they are quality. I can get a good 5 day manicure out of an application of Color Club polish. I love getting to try the nail art bottle because I haven’t tried them out yet. The standard bottle retails for $8 and the Nail Art bottle is $4.

http://i1083.photobucket.com/albums/j388/TheRosySnail/DSCN5892.jpg

As a sweet little bonus, I got a sample (worth $.70) of Kai perfume.  This perfume smells very earthy and it almost has a calming effect on me. I think this would be perfect for a cozy date night ;)

I loved everything about Wantable and getting to try them out. From presentation to the contents, I think this is a subscription to certainly try out. I thought the mix of companies I knew and already loved and ones that I’d never tried, but ended up falling in love with, was spot on. It was also exciting to get my box and instantly be able to put together a FULL look with just a few basics I already had like foundation and mascara. I even had a scent that goes pretty well with my greens and golds!

It’s one thing for a company to have a great business plan and products but Wantable also has amazing customer service! You might be thinking I got some sort of special treatment as a blogger, but that just isn’t the case. If you checkout Wantable on Facebook, you can see their wall is covered in satisfied customers singing their praises! THAT’S why I can’t wait to get my NEXT box from them.

That’s right! I’m officially becoming a paying customer. Why? Because they have a deal I cannot pass up!
Right now Wantable has a deal posted on their Facebook that if you buy any one box between now and December 9th- you can gift two more for FREE! That’s right, buy one get two free! It’s the Giving Season so I could not pass this up!

http://i1083.photobucket.com/albums/j388/TheRosySnail/tn.jpg

I chose to get the Vintage Jewelry Collection box! It will come with 5 pieces but you never know what you’re doing to get!! I love all the pieces in this photo so I can’t wait to see what I get. And what my two friends get as well!

Bluum September

Bluum September

I got my Bluum box a few days ago and this is my second month with them :) I hoped for a few more “mommy” items this month, but I am still very happy with this box especially with it’s $11 price tag :) So, let’s dive right in!

The ever Fab, rustic looking box with it’s adorable logo :)

This month’s theme was Milestones. I have to take a second to tell you guys, I didn’t really get it. I just didn’t get that theme reference from any of the items this month :/ Not to say they aren’t great items! I just don’t know what this was suppose to mean…sorry.

And the items this month! Check out that big ‘ol full size item right on top!

First on the list- Wexy bags. We use these. Love these. This sample included 4 bags, one of each monster. This sample has a value of $.57

Next was Belly Bar. I reviewed the chocolate prenatal vitamins from this same company a while back and they, just like this bar, tasted great! These are ideal for new mommies or pregnant women :) This sample is worth $2.49

Next was a full size item, Triple Wash. We received the cream last month. This is a body wash & shampoo meant to calm and soothe irritated skin. This retails for $11.45

Next was Spiffies Tooth Wipes. While both my boys attempt to brush their teeth, my youngest often fights me on it so I’ll be excited to try these as he chews on his blankie and I think he would like this sensation. We used a washcloth when mine were tiny so this is an exciting thing to see come on the market. We got 4 making this a sample value of $1.20

& lastly, was a hand lotion sample from The Good Home Co. I love hand cream & I love Lavender but I’m disappointed that this is one time use. I’d call this about .25 oz so it’s worth $.28

Overall, the value of my Bluum box this month was $15.99- which is almost half of the value of the one I got last month. I’m not in LOVE with this one, but I’m not too upset either. I’m excited about the kids items I got more than anything and that is WHY I signed up for Bluum :) Can’t wait to share next month’s Bluum with you guys!

Sample Society September

Sample Society September

I’m feeling a little bit grumpy about getting this box late :/ I just want to be honest. This is now my most expensive box and when they said that boxes would be delayed because of Labor Day I wasn’t upset but when I realized it would be 8 days later that it would even ship…I was just annoyed. We were promised we’d LOVE the box and while I’m not even a little bit disappointed in what I got, it wasn’t worth waiting an extra 12 days… Sorry.

As always, Sample Society comes in a sleep black box! It’s $15 a month for 5 travel size samples and I’ve yet to be truly disappointed by one sample yet! They recently opened up a department in Texas so I do pay taxes on top of that $15 but shipping is free for everyone in the US.

And the big reveal ;) I’ve heard the talk around the water cooler is that people who really love Sample Society for a more “mature” or sophisticated feel. I totally agree with that statement but I personally love Sample Society because my box is always SO balanced. A little skin care, usually a fragrance & they never skimp on that cosmetics either!

The first thing I pulled out was CellCeuticals Extremely Gentle Skin Cleanser. This is a HUGE sample size at 2oz, especially for something that will only require a dime size amount. This will easily last me a month. This sample is worth $10.45.

Next was a nearly full size Borghese lip gloss. While I’m happy to see Fall colors, I’m THRILLED they didn’t butcher that attempt in the way that Glossbox did! Fall does not mean everyone will wear brown! This color screams season change but is still beautiful AND wearable. This sample is worth $14.48 and is going right into my hand bag ;)

The other cosmetic item we got was from Stila. I have a friend who nearly “hates” Stila and I disagree but some of their stuff is a little meh. This Eye Crayon isn’t terrible, but I had hopes we’d get a full size since they do full size in Birchbox all the time. This didn’t have a size so I couldn’t estimate the value but I would say somewhere around $5. Fully rolled up, this crayon is less than 1″

The scent we got this month was by Diptyque. It is a perfect blend of musk and a feminine scent. This will be perfect for dressing up this Season. It’s not a “young” scent but I wouldn’t call this one “old lady” like we’ve gotten in the past. This sample is worth $3.11

Next was the Ahava Purifying Mud Mask. I’m excited to try this out for sure! Ahava is a brand I love & looking around, this is now the only mud mask I own! It’s a shame! This .9 oz sample is worth $6.34

The box value (with my Stila guestimate of $5) falls just under $40! Which is right on target with other Sample Society Boxes I’ve received. I always feel like I’m getting quality items and a great variety. Certainly a keeper!!

Starbox by Starlooks! August!

Starbox by Starlooks! August!

This month’s Starbox is the first Special Edition! Everything included is hand picked by fashion designer to the Stars, Lauren Bradley! She recently released her new lingerie line “Le Sang Bleu”. If you don’t already know what Starbox by Starlooks is, it’s a monthly subscription box that cost $15 a month and you get 3-4 FULL SIZED pieces from the Starlooks line. Starlooks cosmetics have proved to be amazing quality and several of my go-to pieces, I’ve gotten in past boxes :)

So, packaging this month chanced again! It’s got a cute logo on it for Lauren’s line as well as a cool new red font and a matte black box.

You get a card telling you about the month, what to expect in your subscription and where to find more products :)

On the back is a list of the products. We got three this month and a special bonus!

First thing on the list was this Pink Petal Rose Lip gloss- a nice pink that glows purple in the sun. This is a full size and an ultra smooth formula. On their website, these sell for $11.

Next was another one of their awesome brushes! This is the 844 Pointed Slant Eyeliner Brush.  I love the super dramatic slope and this brush is VERY soft. This retails for $15.

The last item in our box is this Infinity Cream Liner is Sculpture. This is a beautiful, uber pigmented gel liner. I don’t own anything like it. It’s a deep bronze with a hint of olive and some gold shimmer.

And here are swatches of both the liner and lip gloss :)

The Bonus This month was an “autographed collectors gift card” which sounded like store credit to her line at first but is in fact a picture of Lauren Bradley, in some of her lingerie, with her signature on the back.

We also got a crystal again but mine game smashes.
Everything else in my box was find so I’m not sure how this happened. Oh well :)
** After seeing a few people’s boxes it seems we may have been shipped several crystals
so it looks like I just got some smaller ones ;)

The value of this box was $35- not bad for a $15 box. Starlooks line of cosmetics and their brushes are truly favorites in my HUGE collection of makeup and just today I showed of my collection of their brushes and some makeup to a fellow blogger. If you do decide to give Starbox a go, I’d love for you to mention that you heard about it here on The Rosy Snail ;)

CEW Insiders’ Choice Box

CEW Insiders’ Choice Box

It’s SO rainy here today, so please excuse my lighting in my photos :) But I really wanted to share this box with you all. This is the CEW Insiders’ Choice Beauty Box. At the moment, it’s currently unavailable but I have seen it go unavailable for a few days and come back a few times since it was releeased so don’t give up if this is a box you are interested in! You can also use the code BBCEW to buy two, get one free. I had a $25 gift card so I got three boxes for $30 (after tax) and split the cost with two friends. If/when the CEW box is available again, I suggest you get two friends and get on this deal!

CEW boxes are a large, sturdy box about the size of a shoe box. Inside is 12 items (most full/large sizes) chosen as the best of the best by Cosmetic Executive Women. Even without the deal I mentioned above- $25 for all of this is a STEAL.

Wrapped in white tissue paper- GOODIES!

The first thing I pulled out were two Sally Hansel Salon Effects in the color “440 Animal Instinct” These retails for about $10 each. Lately I’ve been seeing them on sale for around $8, but these almost pay for the box themselves. I wish we had gotten two different styles or something more neutral but these are still super fun and I’ve used these in the past and liked them :)

Next was a travel size of everyone’s favorite sunscreen- Supergoop! It’s not your favorite? Well, that’s probably because you haven’t tried it yet! Supergoop! is paraben and fragrance free. This 1.7oz size retails for $15

We had two items from L’oreal, the first one I pulled out was from their Youth Code line their daily serum intense treatment. This is suppose to reduce the signs of stress, fatigue and aging. This product alone retails for $24.99

Also from L’oreal is their Voluminous False Fiber Lashes mascara. I’m really, really excited to open this but right now I have 6 or so mascaras that are open! This is suppose to build up the fibers around each lash and create amazing looking lashes. I’ve heard awesome things about this mascara. This retails for $8.99

Next was a big tube of  Richly Replenishing body lotion from Burt’s Bees. Who doesn’t love Burt’s Bees? My husband even loves this brand. This lotion smells really nice. The full size of this is 12oz so this half size is worth about $5. This is a huge 6oz lotion so it blows my mind that this is only a half size!

Next was Maybelline’s Instant Age Rewind Eraser. This is a concealer for under eye circles and fine lines. The applicator on this looks really awesome. I love concealers but I’ve yet to find a drug store brand that was heavy duty enough for my under eye circles so I’ll be trying this one soon! This retails for $9.99

We also received a 1oz L’Occitane hand cream in Lavender. This smells really great. I don’t use enough hand cream these days. This sample is worth $8.46. FREEBIE ALERT: If you head over to the L’Occitane website and create an account through Facebook (a pop-up will tell you how) you will get an email for a free travel sized Shea Butter hand Cream. You can pick it up in person if you live near an outlet.

Next was a tube of Burt’s Bees tinted lip balm in Red Dahlia. I expected this too be too dark for me, but its is actually just a light flush of color and like all Burt’s Bee’s balms, it feel great. This balm retails for $7

Yay for strange tilted photos :) Next was a mini from StriVectin-TL Tightening Neck cream. Full size of this sells for $89 so this sample is worth $13.09

Another sample size included was a .5oz mini bottle of Heidi Klum’s Shine. This smells SO good. It’s floral but light with a bit of a powdery scent. This size bottle sells for $9.99

Last in the box was a sample from It Cosmetics and it’s their Full coverage waterproof concealer called “Bye Bye UnderEye” Like I said, I love concealers so I’m a huge fan of this sample! This sample is worth $9.43

Overall the value of this box is $131.94. It’s an amazing value and I’m excited to try everything inside! If you get the chance, check this box out at BeautyBar.com!

Julep Mystery Box for August (Bombshell)

Julep Mystery Box for August (Bombshell)

I got my box a little while back but I chose Bombshell (my normal selection) for my mystery box this time around. I did get a small or “average” box but I’m SO happy with the colors inside!!

Remember, if you aren’t already a Maven,
you can get your first Julep Maven box for only ONE PENNY. Just click here and use the color COLOR2012.

So, it came in this smaller than average box. I’ve noticed that all mystery boxes are white. I’m sure that costs less to make, but other than that, it’s just simple and it doesn’t give away too much on what’s inside :)

I got an orange bag (containing polishes of course) and one product. It included crinkle paper like normal :)

My “product” in my mystery box was a Lip Gloss in Peony. I didn’t think about how choosing Bombshell would likely mean repeats for me and this is a repeat for sure. I got this just the last month (July) but I did really like this color, so absolutely no complaints there.

I got three colors, all of which I love, I got Demi, Gloria and Vanessa- which has been my go too glitter ever since! Vanessa did come with a funky brush but they sent out a replacement right away!

The value of my mystery box was exactly $60 and I paid $19.99. Worth every penny!!

Beauty Army August

Beauty Army August

So, as you can see, I rejoined Beauty Army! I’m glad to be back and I really enjoyed my selection this month. I had heard rumors that they started a new system for how you could “refresh” you pick of 9 items. While you used to have to retake the quiz over and over (and sometimes get no results) now they add to the selection everyday at 9am. This is a huge improvement over the old system and I was considering rejoining, then one day while I was goofing around on the site, I got the option to get some items I couldn’t pass up!

When I opened my box, I noticed another chance. They are now printing cards to be included in boxes. While it would be impossible for them to include product information, it’s nice to get a little “hello” from the Beauty Army Team. The card also talks about the new change I mentioned above.

So here is everything in my box! I was able to get a VERY well balanced box. I chose two hair care items, two cosmetics, one tool and (hiding under the first layer of pink paper) one body/skin care item. I couldn’t ask for a more perfect combination of things for me. And that really is the biggest selling point for Beauty Army- it’s the only monthly box that you have full control over.

The first (and largest) sample in my kit was Pssssst! Instant Dry Shampoo. I’m going to be completely honest and say I was bummed when I realized this was made by Freeman beauty…I’m not sure why, but I do not have a high opinion of their stuff. I’ve tried their face masks and only had breakouts. I think it’s strange that they have SO many different brand names when it’s all from Freeman beauty- BUT in the spirit of full review, I will be trying this. My first impression is that is smells really nice. Powdery with a clean scent to it. I love dry shampoo so I’ll give this a go. This sample is worth $2.32

Next was a 1oz bottle of Macadamia Natural Oil Healing Oil treatment. This stuff smells pretty good- it’s a little earthy, so don’t expect a feminine floral explosion, but it smells nice. This little bottle sells for $13.50 on their website- more than Beauty Army costs all together!

The oil was a tad bit leaky upon arrival. It continued to leak a tiny bit until I took it from my box and stored it upright. It’s an oil, but this was caused by the lid not being tight when I got my box.

The next item was the ultimate reason I went ahead and signed up again with Beauty Army. If you remember, I got a defective MAD skincare sample and a rep. suggested I use a Qtip to get the product- I was annoyed by that and cancelled. This product is the Every Drop Beauty Spatula. It’s meant to get product out of jars/containers of product that you can’t reach. It ended up being too wide to fit into the slim MAD sample, but it’s still a neat tool to have! The handle is 8″ long so it’s ideal for large lotion bottles too. These sell for $14.99 for two and you get some jars for your products, so this is about a $7 value. The handle was not as nice of quality as I expected and with no printing on the wand- it does seem a bit cheap :/

Next was Besame Crimson Rouge. I’ve been DYING to try anything from Besame (after several unanswered emails from them with a request to review, I realized this was the only way it would happen). This sample, like my oil came with a loose (nearly off) lid. This is a cheek and lip color and it is a perfect “flushed” red. I’m in love with this. I was annoyed to read some comments made about this company being “old fashioned” and “out dated”. Besame RECREATES old style makeup, in a new wonderful way. Someday I hope to try more from this adorable, timeless line.

Here is a swatch of the Crimson Rouge.
It’s very pigmented and on the lips it had a slight “staining” property to it that was very nice. I can’t determine a sample value because I don’t know how much is in here.

The other cosmetic item I chose was a YoungBlood mineral primer. I’m the last beauty blogger on earth to try this ;) This cap was also loose! I’m sure none of that was intentional and NOTHING came to me ruined but my mail man needs to stop juggling my boxes!  This feels really smooth on the skin and I can’t wait to try this! This sample is worth $6.97

My last sample is Apothederm Stretch Mark Cream. “I don’t have a single stretch mark on my body!” said no mother ever. I’m ecited to try this. I’ve been using my Mario Badescu Muscle Oil and having good results, so I will probably put off trying this for a bit. It smells nice and this sample is worth $11.04

Overall, the value was great. $40.83 and that was not counting my favorite sample from Besame. I’m going to stick with Beauty Army for a while. I got an email that they are now sample Bath & Body Works Shower gels- they may be affordable, but I’d be stoked to get one when my selection window opens again in two weeks!

Bulu Gear!

Bulu Gear!

I’m sure you all already know that I’m in LOVE with Bulu Box. I have never been more sure of a box company before. I’ve tried a little bit of everything as far as monthly subscription boxes go and this is my absolute favorite fitness/health/good for your body monthly box out there! The best part- it’s also the most affordable! It’s only $10 a month! If that isn’t enough for you- you can go to their site and use the code: woohoo10 and get your first box for FREE. Enough said.

For all my support, Bulu box offered to ship me one of their awesome shirts! I was SO excited! I can’t wait to wear this to the gym! Bulu Box is something that I love sharing with people and I can honestly say that it’s been the kick in the but I needed to really continue to take care of myself. It can get boring day in and day out taking your vitamins and going for a jog- but when you’re getting a box of goodies every month- it’s so easy to have a refreshed attitude about getting and staying fit!

On the back right shoulder, they also printed their “Woo Hoo for Bulu” saying. I adore this saying! Bulu boxes are shipping out today- as we speak so I CANNOT wait to see what is in August boxes!

They also sent me a decal that I can’t wait to get on my car (it’s in reverse because it would be attached to the inside of a car window, etc)

In addition, I got a handwritten note from the co-founder/CEO Paul Jarrett! It’s was super nice thanking me for spreading the word, but I’m mostly showing you this because- CHECK OUT THIS stationary! Sign me up! I want some. Haha. Paul also let me know that if there was enough demand for these Bulu branded goodies that they may open and online shop where everyone could purchase these! I would be stoked if that happened! So, if you agree- head over to their Facebook page and let them know! Feel free to let them know TheRosySnail sent you ;)
