Project Runway Jr. + butter LONDON

We are 5 episodes into the second season of Project Runway Jr. and I, personally, am on the edge of my seat. I definitely have mixed feelings watching 12 KIDS (all these contestants are under 18) do things that I could literally only dream of with fabric. It seriously blows my mind. I admit, I don’t have a favorite contestant to win just yet. I’m eyeing two so I’ll keep it to myself for now. I am also seriously crushing on some of the makeup looks I’ve seen on this season! I got a little inside info on this weeks looks and I wanted to tell you more about butter LONDON working on this show!

If you didn’t spot the brand on your own, you shouldn’t be shocked to learn that these amazing looks came from a brand known for being on top of what’s trending. I’ve always loved that butter LONDON really appealed to the fashion scene and I even thought of this brand when I transitioned from the retail cosmetics world into being a clothing stylist myself just two years ago. I made so many parallels and it has to be said that beauty and fashion are a match made in heaven.

This weeks Project Runway Jr. challenge from Tim Gunn was to incooperate LED lights which called for a lot of glow! Key Makeup Artist Scott Patric for butter LONDON put together an amazing look featuring several of the newest products from the range.

The winning look featured the Plush Rush Lip gloss in “Late Night” and the Palm Paradise ShadowClutch Wardrobe Duo along with a few other staple products by the brand. I got the chance to try these two out and I’m seriously impressed.

As the name suggests the plush rush part of this gloss is a bit of a plump. Despite the shimmer to it, there is no grit or texture to this gloss. It’s soft and pillowy and leaves the lips looking extraordinarily smooth and like they’ve gained a very natural plump. This is one gloss that leaves your lips in better condition than before you applied it. I admit I’m not always a lip gloss lover but I’ve reapplied this twice and been wearing it all day. I’m hooked. These retail for $20

This eyeshadow duo features two shades in “Fool’s Gold” and “Emerald”. These come as individual shadows and easily snap into the ShadowClutch cases which carry 6 shadows each. These are super creamy and pigmented (see the swatch photo above) probably because they are infused with primer and they even absorb oil to prolong the wear. They don’t crease and they won’t budge. I feel like they thought of everything on this one and $15 for two single eyeshadows is an awesome price for high end cosmetics!

I’ll have a recreation of this stunning look up on Instagram very soon!

Be sure and check out butter LONDON for more shades and products! If you want to keep up with Project Runway Jr, it airs Thursdays at 9pm EST/PST on Lifetime
