OPI Fall|Winter 2015 Venice Collection #OPIVenice Limited Edition Shades

Like I mentioned in my last post, this 15-piece collection features 3 limited edition, winter-esque shades. The others will make their home in the core collection. These three shades not only scream winter (with what I can only describe as some Elsa flare!) but they are full of glitze and down right glam! It’s hard to name a favorite shade, but these three certainly make the cut for #rebuy and any OPI collector will want to get these ASAP.

From left to right, we have: Venice the Party?, Baroque…But Still Shopping!, and St. Marks the Spot. Can you see how this trio has me thinking of Elsa? (Okay, I’m a mom! Sue me.) Let’s take a look at each of these shades!

VeniceThePartyVenice the Party? is a stunning aquamarine metallic with small, subtle silver glitters spread sparsely throughout the formula. This polish catches the light in ways I didn’t expect looking at it in the bottle! This metallic self leveled beautifully with very few brush strokes in the finished product. Application was completely opaque with just two coats and the dry time was minimal.

Barouque but still shopping

Baroque…But Still Shopping! was a bit more fussy when it came to texture, this metallic gold was packed with medium/large square glitter and dried fairly quickly during application. This made for a bit of manipulation needed on my part. Once the polish was laid down, it was well worth the effort! This was the only one-coat-wonder in this collection and makes for a fun ombre effect if you’ve got the patience!

St. Mark’s the Spot reminds me of a polish from the Spiderman x OPI collection as soon as I saw it.  Into the Night was more of a purple undertone, but on the nails, this reminded me why these dark metallics are so stunning. This covered in just two coats, dried quickly and offered a stunning shimmer for the winter trends. This color is also fun matted!  This is a true metallic and I’m loving every second of it!

Overall, these shades are worth hunting for! They’re super unique and I’ve yet to find dupes for any of these (though I have several close for St. Mark’s the Spot) yet. Like always, OPI polishes are true to the bottle, offer a great finish and for me, never disappoint! Stay tuned for the rest of this collection in the next few days!
