Ipsy June 2017 (Pt. 2)

Like I mentioned, I did “re sign up” for my second Ipsy bag and it came with a great bonus item! I got an email that if I signed up, I would get this full size It Cosmetics My Sculpted Face palette and as promised, it came along with my very first delivery!

The bonus palette comes with 2 highlight and 4 contour shades. I’ve personally used 2 of these palettes down to the pan and am currently working on my 3rd (I’ll save this to use once I’m done with the one I’m currently working on.) If you’re a fan of this brand, you might know that this is a palette they recently updated and changed. The packaging and the shades of the new palette are a little more orange tone and the highlight shades are darker. I know the new shades flatter more skin tones but as someone who is very pale, these colors suit me best. I jumped at the chance to get another of these before they become impossible to find. This palette retailed for $38 (the new one is now $40).

Moving on to my actual bag, I got this same adorable pop art inspired bag. I will definitely use this for my lippies in my purse!

Up first! I got this VASANTI Brighten up! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator. This is an exfoliating cleanser with papaya microcrystals and aloe. I LOVE trying new cleanser and I love exfoliating and resurfacing products so this is an awesome product for me to try out! I don’t think I’ve ever tried this brand but it looks to be a mid-priced point brand and the full size (at over 4oz) of this product is $34, making this a sample value of $5.63

I was really excited to see a brow product in this bag. I had purple hair for about 8 months and I realized quickly that if you have the “other” hair color selected with Ipsy, they won’t send brow products. Which totally makes sense. When I filled out this profile, I made sure and put down that my hair is now back to brown and I edited my other profile as well. This is the Bold Brow power from City Color in Medium. These retail for $3.99 (*they look different on their website, but I don’t see how this couldn’t be a full size item)

As you might suspect, the brush that was included is rubbish, but the powders are great. I’m excited to play in brow powders again after several years of pomades.

Next, I received a mini long wear blush. This is Balm Springs by The Balm. I used to own an entire routine worth of products from this company but I never found myself repurchasing the items when they ran out. Some items I feel in love with but since these aren’t available in stores (though now Khol’s carries some of their items, I believe?), I just purchased other stuff.

Anyhow! Love the blush, love the color. This is one I’ll probably buy the full size of. The sample is worth $2.99 and I love trying sample blushes- I’m happy I got this.

Between my two bags, I did have one duplicate and that was the NYX Whipped Fouette in “Pink Cloud”. This undecided on this product, but I haven’t reached for it since I got it. These retail for $6

Lastly, I received this full size Skone Cosmetics Tattooed Waterproof Eyeliner. This is a jet black, felt tip eyeliner. This is an awesome liner and I’m thrilled to have received this! It’s super long lasting and I don’t think you can ever have too many liquid eyeliners (in any shade!) These retail for $20 (though they’re currently on sale for $15!) and I think I’ll order more colors like the blue and green which look amazing.

Without the bonus palette, this bag was worth $38.61 and I loved the items in it, again, minus the NYX lip product which I just wasn’t a huge fan of. I’m excited to be back to my two Ipsy bags and having more to play with!
