If you’ve been a reader for anytime, you know I LOVE Ipsy! It’s one of my favorite monthly subscriptions. For only $10 a month (including taxes and shipping) you receive 5 deluxe samples and even full size products. Ipsy also recently started a referral rewards program so you even have the chance to earn additional products by referring your friends! Because I’ve been enjoying Ipsy SO much for over a year and they recently began doing multiple variations on their bags, I opted to subscribe to a second bag. So from now on, I’ll receive TWO Ipsy Glam Bags!
This month, we received an adorable see through, hot pink bag. These are really popular this summer and I’m seeing them everywhere from Walmart to Ulta stores. I love hot on trend Ipsy is! I never feel like I’m getting left overs or last years trends.
I received 5 products, one of them is full size. Typically, I receive at least one full size product and it’s usually a cosmetic item which are always my favorite. Notice you’ll never get a foil product with Ipsy (there is the RARE exception of something like a face mask, etc where a foil packet is the full size or one use size.)
One collaboration I was really happy to see was BH Cosmetics and Ipsy! We received a “sample set” from the new California Palettes that were recently released from BH. I already own the Malibu palette and I have to say these shadows are great and the palettes are worth the small price tag! Each color is about the size of a dime. I would value this around $3. You’d easily pay $1 for an eyeshadow and this travel friendly compact adds value for me!
Next, I received a deluxe size sample of the Coola Mineral Sunscreen. Coola recently reformulated these natural sunscreens and I’ve heard nothing but raving reviews! In my two bags, I did receive the original unscented version and the tinted “rose essence” version. I’m excited to be able to try out both! This tube has a sample value of $4.87 and will go quite a long way!
Another familiar brand this month! If you’ve not heard of Benefit before, you MUST be living under a rock! Benetint was one of their original products and I had the FUNNIEST thing to tell you! Did you know that benetint was originally created for a stripper? That’s right, when strippers approached the founding sisters looking for something to keep “the twins” perky and pink in tone, they came up with what we now know as benetint 😉 No matter the origin, Benetint is a fun, flush of color and a unique twist on traditional rouge! This sample is worth $6!
When it comes to summer time hair care, sea salt sprays are my #1 choice! I admit, I’m a fan of my current brand, Not Your Mothers, but I like the Big Sexy/Big Healthy lines so I’m excited to try this. It doesn’t have quite the beachy smell that I expected but the sprayer looks nice and I like the added benefit of soy. It should help with the dryness I get after being in the sun. This has a sample value of $6.66!
My full size item was from Pop Beauty and this is their Pouty Pop Crayon.
I received the color Fuchsia Flirt. I was really surprised by how creamy this formulation was. I’ve seen a lot of hits but just as many misses with these lip crayons lately (from various brands) so I tried not to get too excited when I found out this would be in my bag. Turns out I was worried for nothing 🙂 I received not only a great product but my absolute first choice in color! Hot pink, baby! It’s always my first choice! Currently, these are only sold in a set of six for $25 making this a sample value of $4.17
Overall, this months Ipsy bag was wonderful. I’ve not got a single complaints! The value of this bag was also great at just over $24 nor including the bag itself. Considering that Ipsy also offers free shipping and doesn’t charge tax, getting my Ipsy bag each month almost feels like stealing!!
On top of my bags, I also received a bonus item of a Nicole by OPI nail polish in Pretty in Plum. This retails for $7.99 and is full size! I ended up giving this to a friend, but it’s a stunning color and I loved the new bonus program they’re offering!
If you haven’t signed up for Ipsy yet, do it! You certainly won’t regret it!
