Henna is everywhere and I couldn’t be happier with the trend! I began my journey with Henna a little over a year ago and it’s been such an amazing experience. I love learning about the culture, the chemistry and it’s such a stress reliever for me to doodle away on my skin. Plus, without stating the obvious, it’s stunning to look at.
Here is one piece I did over the summer. This is two days after the henna past was removed. This has been an overwhelming favorite among my friends and family. Despite the number of hours I’ve been in water this summer, I’ve still got this on my palm many weeks after the fact.
While henna has been so hot, I wasn’t sure how, if at all, it would transition into Fall. The colors and boho theme certainly fits and the dark mohogony hues will blend well with a Fall palette, but the henna craze has always been for the Summer Time. Then, I got an email from Lauren B. and they had the solution! Take the art of henna and turn it into Nail Art!
They sent me a fun pictorial to share with you guys!
Step 1: Apply Lauren B. Nail Perfecter to get rid of any imperfections on your nail bed. Let dry 1-2 min.
Step 2: For the base colors, apply 1-2 coats of Lauren B. Venice Beach Venus and Lauren B. Hollywood Land to the two accents nails. Let dry for 3-4 minutes.
Step 3: For the accents nails, use our black polish, Paparazzi, and with a thin brush draw two “V” on the nail beds. Then draw half circles to both sides of the V shape. Once you’ve drawn the half circles, place 2-3 dots on each of the half circles.
Step 4: Finish off with Lauren B. Gel Like Top Coat for the perfect ending to a great manicure.
It’s that easy! My favorite part is that you can do this with nearly any color combination or base! This would be fun over a tie dye base, water marble or even a fun sponged effect! There are endless possibilities!
