Everyday Minerals

I’m constantly on the hunt for new and fun mineral makeup companies. With all that is trending in makeup right now, I learned a lot of techniques that add to the shape of someone’s face and quickly realized that a good, blendable product was important. I’ve found the most blendable face powders and eyeshadows from little known mineral companies. Imagine my delight when I realized one of those great companies was camped out not far from me in Austin, TX. I recently reached out to Everyday Minerals and had the pleasure of trying some of their products!

I’ve actually tried ONE Everyday Minerals brush in the past. I own their eyeliner brush from way back in the day (when it wasn’t a double ended brush) and I’m obsessed with it. I received it as a gift and it was my very first product from this brand. It’s since been well loved. Needless to say, I was thrilled to see a few brushes on my doorstep! I received their Everyday Shadow Brush, Double Perfect Eyeshadow/Eyeliner brush and their Angle Blush Brush.

Each of these brushes is so soft and made of synthetic hairs and a bamboo handle. I found these to not only be great for blending and gentle on the skin, but they also picked up product great without a lot of waste. Nothing is worse than a brush that digs into a powder causing it to make a mess and be wasteful.

I was especially impressed with how dense this blush brush was. For $14, I wasn’t sure if it would be on the small side or if it wouldn’t have the density to really do the job. I found that the face brushes from Everyday Minerals are super affordable for a high end brush and well worth the money! This beauty is probably my favorite!

New to Everyday Minerals is their Blush Wardrobe. This $24 set comes with 6 mini .06oze blushes and a mini flat top kabuki brush. All neatly packaged into one cute crate.

The 6 shades include: Tea Rose, Cameo, Sweet Coral, All Smiles, Field of Roses and Pink for Flowers. I found each of these shades to be subtle and two of them to be very light.

Swatched on my arm (I am typically “fair” in most foundations and an NC13 in MAC, for reference) this is:  Tea Rose, Cameo, Sweet Coral, All Smiles, Field of Roses and Pink for Flowers. As you can see, none of these are particularly bold. I think they all blend well, I would have to say that Cameo and Pink for Flowers are two that I wouldn’t recommend for ALL skin types. They are the two lightest shades and would certainly be chalky on deeper complexions.

Lastly, this kit included this mini kabuki brush. The fact that this is almost a “freeie” in this super affordable kit is almost mind blowing. This brush is incredibly soft, blends blushes like a dream and is a gift to any blush lover! I would happily pay money for this brush and it’s only $10 on the site! If you do the math, this kit is worth just over $35 and in my option, the perfect way to try different blushes. .06oz might not sound like a lot but these blushes are about the size of Bare Mineral’s blushes and extremely full. End verdict, a lot of product for the money!! (While we’re on the subject of before mentioned company, these brushes are a zillion times better!)

See?! These are no baby sized blushes! This is enough blush to tide one over for quite a while!

Overall, I thought these products were great! The brushes are down right heavenly and I’ve already got plans to order more very soon! These blushes all matched my skin tone wonderfully for a Spring or Summer look, I can see myself wanting something darker and maybe more on the bronze side of things for the Fall or Winter months. Next on my radar is their foundations!
