Like a long lost love, it has been WAY too long since I tried a new product from Honeybee Gardens. Nearly 4 1/2 years ago, I tried out their Party Girl palette and was blown away with the pigmentation and I used that palette down to the pan and beyond (thinking about it now, that’s on the top of my repurchase list for sure!). I recently reached out and they sent some beautiful products for a soft, romantic look for Valentine’s Day! This post is part of a mini series, check out the event tab for more Valentine’s Day inspiration!
I know from past experience, and you should trust me and anyone else who’s ever tried their products- they’re good. Aside from being great products, they’re also natural and made with organic ingredients. When I think of what goes on my face, I want to give me know the best chance at always looking good and chemicals and artificial ingredients aren’t helping me with that goal. Everything Honeybee Garden’s makes is free of parabens, FD&C colors and petrochemicals. With all this attention to detail, you’d expect a big price tag and you’d be wrong. Honeybee Gardens products are not only good for your body but they’re budget friendly, too.
For this soft look, I received two of their Pressed Eye Shadow Singles. These come in 15 colors and are 1.3g (a standard size from a lot of brands) and are only $8.99. I love purchasing pans to put in magnetic palettes, but you can also buy palettes that fit these perfectly from the brand for $12.99.
This is Dragonfly and Ninja Kitty. I love the cute names and the fact that these come labeled with not only the name but also the brand so that they’re easy to repurchase later on!
These shadows are absolutely dreamy! Looking at Dragonfly, you would not expect this stunning blue aura of a shimmer and I was pleasantly surprised by it. This makes an amazing shade for the lower lash line or because it has an amazing glow, pop it in the middle of the lid for more dimension. Ninja Kitty is the perfect champagne nude for any skin tone and is a true staple. I love that while both of these are shimmering, they are not overly glittery or gaudy.
All of these eyeshadows are gluten free, vegan and paraben free, ree of petroleum-based oils, alcohol, talc, fillers, fragrances, preservatives and chemical dyes; enriched with botanicals and vitamins. If you’re shopping these colors, I recommend reading the description on the site for more details on the finish of each shadow.
Going into this, I knew I loved the HB eyeshadows, but I was excited to try some new colors. On the other hand, I had never tried their lipsticks. They recommended the shade Seduction from their line of Truly Natural Lipstick because, hello, the name is perfect for the occasion but it’s also their #1 selling shade.
On their site, Seduction is described as a true neutral rose/mauve shade and when it arrived I was thrilled to see that it had just the right amount of vampy depth to make it super fun! These lipsticks are super budget friendly also at only $13.99. I’ve got my eye on a few other shades!
I can see why this is their #1 selling shade. It’s stunning. These lipsticks are creamy, have a light, powdery scent that is divine and they truly last on the lips. They contains certified organic ingredients like sunflower seed oil which penetrates and moisturizes lips, cocoa butter which protects your lips, and sesame seed oil to heal and soften. With so many moisturizers packed into a tube of lipstick, I expected this to be one you’d need to apply often, but after 6 1/2 hours and dinner, I reapplied in the evening just for the sake of feeling myself.
Overall, these products are great and I love Honeybee Gardens
