A reader asked me if she would need to stay subscribed after this purchase and if there was a way to “opt out” of their auto-renewal program. While, I’d say they are certainly a great company to stick with, I did want to address this question! It’s super easy to cancel and opt out of auto-renewal. Here is what they say in their FAQ: “Absolutely! The 1 Month and 3 Month Subscriptions default to auto-renew. 12 Month Subscriptions are not auto-renew. To opt out of auto-renew – Login, Click “Update Your Account” and there is an option to Cancel Auto Renew next to your credit card number. Or just call us at 312-255-0802 and we’ll be happy to do it for you!”

I’ve never tried anything from Murad that I didn’t love and even though Summer is coming to a close, protecting your skin from the sun’s rays, is NEVER a step you should skip! I won’t get into a cancer/sun damage speech, but it’s your skin! You don’t get a replacement! Treat it like you love it ;)

So, first I tried their Oil-Free Sunblock with an SPF of 30. Because this is oil free, I have been using this on my face with awesome results. (replacing my moisturizer, of course) I am VERY prone to oily skin, especially in this summer heat so you had better believe I’m not joking around when I say this was the least greasy formula I’ve ever used with this high of SPF. This handy 1.7oz bottle has because of fixture in my bathroom for any day I plan to go outside because looking around most of my foundation have VERY low SPF if any at all!

Next I tried the Waterproof Sunblock, also with SPF 30. This stuff really is waterproof! I had to double scrub a tiny bit in the shower but it was great that I knew this wasn’t going anywhere no matter if I was sweating, swimming or chasing toddlers through the sprinkler. Because this isn’t waterproof, it did have a slightly greasy texture but the biggest difference I noticed between these products and other high SPFs I’ve used? The smell. It’s a little fruity, a little citrus-y with just a HINT of sunscreen. This bad boy also lasts for 80 minutes. I did a double take on this, did they mean 30? Nope- 80 minutes of not needing to reapply. Sign me up.

I have been seeing a few offers lately for FREE glasses but none of them have been as cute as the pair I picked up from Firmoo. I have to apologize because I’ve been enjoying these glasses SO much that I meant to review them about a week ago, but I’m a slacker ;)

I got these beauties in the mail a little over two weeks ago and they are perfect. This pair is actually no longer available and I’m SO sad about that, but below on the product page, they suggest other similar pairs of glasses. These glasses (had I paid for them) only cost $27. I was recently SO lucky to win a Facebook drawing/giveaway from Zents and I won a Attar in the scent Petal! It just showed up in the mail! It was an amazing surprise to get in my mailbox. I love to get mail, but unexpected mail?!
Well, that is a whole other thrill. Haha.

So, the cute, but simple packaging arrived like this. I also got a little letter telling me that I was a winner from the Facebook contest & urging me to post a picture on their Facebook. Which I did! (I have to say that I was SHOCKED that out of all 10 winners, I was the ONLY one who posted a picture!)

Inside, is a cute little glass bottle. This perfume oil is SUPER concentrated! So even though this look like a small amount and is only 5ml, you can barely tell I’ve used it- A LOT. I’ve used it everyday since I got it and even let several other people try it. It takes next to nothing to make your whole body smells SO good.

The application is actually a rollerball, which I really like! This little cutie retails for $40 and is worth every penny! I love to put a tiny bit on my hand then put my hair serum on top. I work that into my hair and I smell AMAZING all day! It’s to die for!

I recently got the opportunity to try an amazing mineral makeup company called Mia Mariu. Their products not only natural but they left me with a healthy glow- even after I took my makeup off!

The first item I tried was their Perfecting Mineral Finish Foundation in Vanilla. While the color was a tad too yellow for me, I added it in with some primer for a lighter application. This foundation offers medium to full overage that feels and looks flawless. I did find that it offered a drier application than most my foundation, but we should all be applying a moisturizer anyhow ;) This 1oz bottle retails for $25

Next was this BEAUTIFUL blush in Maria Azucena. I chose this candy based on the online photos and fell in love, but it was even better in person.

The color is SO rich and pigmented and adds amazing color to any look, but you can’t over do it; trust me, I tried! This blush is also super smooth. This retails for $17

So, this is my final look! I’ve been using this combo everyday for over a week and several people have commented on my glow-y skin ;)

So, confession: I LOVE to drink from straws. I know it will probably give me MASSIVE wrinkles when I’m older, but I don’t care. I love it. I don’t drink anything without a straw, it is my strange obsession. To the point where my husband gifted me one of those cute old-fashioned looking straw caddies where you pull up the middle and pick your straw- he must really love me! The thing is that all these plastic straws I sip and throw away are really adding up :/ I was probably going through 2 plastic straws a day. Aside from the cost of my habit, fact is I’m just adding more plastic to the trash pile- not anymore :)

In comes Glass Dharma, the original glass straw. (proudly handmade in the US). Glass Dharma is not only the original creator of the glass straw but they are by far the most diverse. They have 4 diameters for everything from sipping wine to chugging that yogurt smoothie, 4 lengths and even 6 different color dot options- perfect for avoiding mid part drink confusion.

The first straw I tried was the Decorative Dots Sipper. This super small straw is ideal for sipping red wine (I prefer to use a straw to keep wine away from my teeth- is that odd?) It comes with a small, curable cleaner and with the adorable blue dots, I’m not going to mix up my wine with my hubbies ;)

Here is an up close of the detail of the decorative dots. It blows my mind a little that all of this is handmade. I’ve always been interested in glass blowing, but the details are so cool. There is not a single imperfection in any of the straws I got to try!

The next straw I opened was the smoothie straw. I haven’t gotten to try this with a smoothie yet (I know I’m bad!) but I start my 90 day weight loss challenge tomorrow so I see myself having a LOT of breakfast smoothies! This straw is flawless.

Aside from how wide this straw is, I also wanted to point out the amazingly smooth edges. Have you ever stabbed yourself in the roof of your mouth with a straw?! Well, I have and it’s TERRIBLY PAINFUL! With Dharma Straws, that can’t happen because the rounded glass is SO smooth. Speaking of painful accidents, I can’t imagine how upset I would be if one of these broke, but I’ve put them through the wash and even dropped on and it didn’t crack or anything- should you find some force of nature break one, they are covered for LIFE.

Speaking of life, I’ve found the straw I’m going to use even when I’m 90. Haha. These is the Beautiful Bents Ice Tea Straw. It’s got a slight bend in it just like a bendie straw! It’s my match made in glass straw Heaven :)
