Beauty Box 5 September 2015 #BB5

Man, I stalk my mailman on days that my Beauty Box 5 is set to arrive. I thrust the door open in full “work” mode today which included a face mask, workout pants and no bra. Don’t judge me. (My mailman already thinks I’m a total loon, I’m sure!)

My box gets here lightening quick since they ship from Austin, TX! We’re just about 45 minutes from downtown 🙂 If you aren’t familiar with #BB5, they’re a monthly beauty subscription that features 5 items. You can get makeup, skincare and hair care. Their subscription is $12 a month BUT you can get a full year for only $99 making it as low as $8 and some change! Shipping is included and this has got to be the most balanced, fun box I’ve ever tried!

This month’s theme is Fall on Fleek and as much as I try not to use the word “fleek” in any serious conversation, this theme is SO on trend! Everyone is into polished, put together layered looks for the Fall and this month’s products fit this bill perfectly!

On the reverse of the card is information on the 5 items as well as their retail and some hashtags you can use to play with Beauty Box 5 on social media (they love replying to subscribers and it’s so fun!). The little hearts also indicate which products are full size and we’re 3/5 this month! For the other beauty boxes in the same price range, that is a rarity but looking at my box last month, that one had 3 full size as well. Rarely do they send small samples and if they do, you normally get a set or multiples, which is absolutely fabulous!!

Going in order, the first thing on the list is this Tints & Sass Lip + Cheek Stain by Elizabeth Mott. I’ve sampled this before but lost mine so I’m thrilled to have another! The Elizabeth Mott line has been a hit with me thus far! This little size is perfect to pop in a small bag for an event and I adore that this smells like cherry! This sample is worth roughly $6.92 and is 1/3 the size of a full size- not bad!

This next product is totally and completely new to me. Not only the brand but this type of product. This is the Beautiful Nutrition Lemon Rinse Gentle Clarifying Treatment. The card and bottle go on to say how to add this all over your hair, leave on briefly then rinse for added shine, boosted volume, and product buildup removal. Really, everyone should use a clarifying treatment from time to time but I’ve never seen it done like this. Only ever shampoos! This also smells like lemon bars….just nom nom! I will be checking out this brand more in the near future! Cannot wait to try this! Bonus: this product is super affordable at $10 for 13.3oz! This sample is worth $1.50

I have been wanting this Harvey Prince scent FOREVER! A friend of mine got this several months back and I almost went full klepto on it. (Not really, I would never!) This is by Harvey Prince and it’s called “Sincerely”. It reminds me of a Neroli perfume I’m addicted to by Yves Rocher. Though this one doesn’t contain neroli flowers is has cedarwood, freesia and orange flower. This is to die for and will make the perfect date night scent. This rollerball is full size and retails for $21!

Onto another stunning full size product, we got a full size Shimmer Powder in “Snowflake” from Bellepierre. I met some people working for this brand in Las Vegas a few years back and ever since, I’ve been seeing them pop up everywhere (rightfully so). This powder is so pretty! I cannot wait to use this as a highlight. Enjoy my quirky video above 😉 This retails for $14.99

Last, but certainly not least! Be a Bombshell Cosmetics Eye Crayon in “Stonehenge”. There was an assortment of colors sent out so I’m super curious to see what everyone else got!

Stonehenge is a stunning taupe shimmer and it glides on like a dream. This baby retails for $14.

Since this month’s box had so many great colors, I had to do some swatches for you! The bottom is the eye crayon, followed by the Shimmer Powder and lastly, the lip + cheek stain; first swatched lightly (as you would for your cheeks) and then applied more like a gloss for lip application. These all look great together!

The overall value of this month’s box is $58.41 which is HUGE! I really love all these products and this may be my favorite #BB5 to date!!
